[Git 06/14/2010] Textbox does not parse /n

Postby penguin » 03 Jan 2011 17:40

I was creating my Space Maryo series and all of a sudden found that there was a bunch of "/n" in my text where there should be line breaks...

This only occurs when you save the level.

Those should be \n, which in C++ will actually be newlines. I think FluXy must've typed in the wrong slash. Going to look into it and instead of submitting a patch I'm going to test pull requests. FluXy: please look out for the pull request!

Hm...I was looking through the source code but I found no code that could have done this. Have you tried checking out the latest Git revision? FluXy might have already fixed this.

Yep, /n still exists....

Could the \ be / in the source?

I checked for that but couldn't find it. I'll do a more precise check in the morning.

this only occurs when I save the level in the editior. All other levels unsaved by this git revision is not affected.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't find any code that would cause this. Does anybody else get effected by this error?

There was such a bug some time ago which should have been fixed. You probably only need a newer git ;)
I couldn't reproduce it with the current git.
If i didn't read your post but it was important you can send me a PM.
Any Donation will help this project!
