Objects Can "Ride" Lifts

Postby -DarkAceZ- » 24 Nov 2010 22:53

Objects like mushrooms and coins can't ride lifts. And the moving coins, the ones that come from enemies not the ones that stay in one spot. :)

enemy coins should behave this way... while stationary coins should not mushrooms should be able to ride the lifts if memory serves...

Lifts are kinda unstable objects, and need lots of work done on them.

Other bugs with lifts you may also see is, all enemies die on one hit on lifts, Maryo can sometimes randomly die, they can glitch out and fly all over the screen, and they can sometimes disappear.

Some of these bugs happen on rare occasions, while others happen all the time.
Feeling nostalgic for this ol' place!

Yeah, and this lift is supposed to pick up coins and it does, but like only for 1/4 the way. I have to make it go much slower f5or it to pick them up, but then it misses a lot of coins. :hrmph:

I got it working with a turtle...

... for a while, but then it was crushed by a block.

Just curious, did you use the Quicktime X to record that?
Wierd how it just does that on its own...... could you put enemy stoppers along that?

Yes, I did.

About the enemy stoppers: Maybe, but it would use up too many enemy stoppers. Besides, I like the wooden blocks. :P

Fixed!       But it dies when you stomp on it, because of the moving lift.
I added enemystoppers all the way up.
Here's an idea for some level. There is a block that you need to use a turtle shell to get and it's a ghost shroom up to a lot of "goodies" but the turtle is on a lift that if you touch it starts so it's very hard to hit the shell without killing it. :D

Very good, -DarkAceZ-! :P :P :P :P

BTW: When I stomp on it twice in a row, the turtle retreats into its shell, then dies.

ABTW: I think you should cut WAAAAAAAAY down on the number of 's in your posts. :nutcase:
