Advanced Camera Control

have the camera do these following things. Or can be changed on settings tab.

* Zoom in & out
* Move camera other than standard position (like it is now)
* Have camera follow paths at defined rates.

I know it may not be much but its worth a shot.

the implementation of scripting in the game may cover some of these areas and may be taken into consideration when implementing however I cannot speak for other peoples work. solid concept though can you link a video of some examples?

Are you talking dynamic camera movement defined for the level, or free camera the player can control?

Dynamic camera, as mentioned above, will be much more feasible with scripting.

Free camera is completely unnessecary for 2D platformers.
