Indication of Information Blocks as Already Read

Postby Luiji » 20 Feb 2011 19:54

In a long lost land, far far away, there was a Debian wishlist bug report that should have been filed at this forum...

Debian Bug Report 515055:
Code: Select all
From: "Jason A. Spiro" <>
Subject: Please a) make information bricks obvious and b) gray them out when seen.
Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2009 19:56:02 -0500
Package: smc
Version: 1.7-1
Severity: wishlist

There are lots of informational bricks.  For example, at the beginning
of the very first level of Secret Maryo Chronicles, there is one brick
that tells you to jump on enemies' heads to kill them, and another one
that tells you to run while jumping to jump higher.  But I mistakenly
hit them twice sometimes.

a)  Please change your tileset to make it obvious that that brick is
informational.  Maybe show a blue "i" circle such as icon superimposed
over it.

b)  After I have already hit an info brick, please change the standard
orangeish color of the brick to grayscale.  This will make it obvious
to me that I have seen the text inside the brick already.

Thanks in advance,
