Fans. Fans that blow air towards the player and slows the player down/pushes the player back. Or a conveyor belt would be the same only with different graphics.

You mean like in Marble Blast Gold and Super Meatboy? I could see that as a nice feature...

Ooh! Any maybe it can move certain objects, like clouds that maryo can stand on.

moving entities is really a job best left for paths as anything elce would be far too unpredictable and far too taxing to implement in that way. effecting player movement is the most logical way to do this and keeping pathing for game entities.

Also, you're misinterpeting the use of the word "taxing" here. It has nothing to do with money here, it simply means it would be exhausting.

Very nice idea. Should be easy to implement... I think objects moved by default should be Maryo and leight enemies (that is, Krush won’t be blown anywhere). This could easily be handled with a flag on every sprite, which by default is turned on for Maryo and said leightweight enemies. For other objects to be moved, you would be required to turn that flag on manually via scripting.

Actually, I find this such a good idea that I have created a GitHub ticket for this. But we need graphics for this to happen!

Might there also be a wind that can blow through a whole level, configurable per level?
If fans were used in conjunction with this wind, Maryo will really get blown around seriously...
