[2014-01-25 793a7f2] SMC for Windows Build

Postby penguin » 31 Jan 2014 01:09

Well, it's hard to believe, but I have successfully built SMC based on latest git as of January 25th (commit 793a7f2)
This was built on a Ubuntu Server 13.10 installation in a virtual machine (has not been updated to the latest package updates due to fear of strange conflicts)

Here's the download link.

I have done some testing, by playing through lvl_1.smclvl and it works beautifully.

PLEASE NOTE: This build may be extremely slow due to the nature of Debug builds. I'm not sure if release builds are compatible with the MXE/code structure as of yet. I will experiment.

Thanks for dealing with my frustration. Builds should be able to come much faster now especially I know how to get it to work now.

I will try to update this post whenever a new build is made.

Niiice job. I guess it's harder to build it in Windows than it is in Linux? :P

A little bit. Quintus's script he wrote eased the process a great deal as I happened to mess up quite a few times doing it manually. At least I can do it quickly now (can be built uploaded in as little as an hour, would be faster if I wasn't running such old hardware.) Good to see you haven't left. :D
